Day 13 - Amherst and Cleveland 09/10/2011
A solid 51 miles of riding along the shore of Lake Erie. It sounds really quite wonderful when I put it that way. Now add buckets of rain drenching you for the first 10 miles and a wet ride from there on out - not quite as ideal. But, everything still went as planned and we're here in Cleveland all ready for the Browns vs. Bengals Game tomorrow! The road I cycled today was State Route 6, which I was nervous about, but Dad insisted it would be fine. And while it was more busy than I would have cared for (there was a bike lane on the side of the road though!), it was actually a very unique ride. Cottages and small grocery stores lined the entire trip - I never even saw a cornfield! Very different from what I've been seeing during this bike tour. So, even though I was soaking wet, it was enjoyable. :) CommentsLeave a Reply |
